This Privacy Policy explains how Pianola handles information when you use the app. Pianola is designed to play MIDI files on Bluetooth MIDI and USB MIDI compatible digital pianos and player piano systems.

Information We Collect

Pianola does not collect personal information for analytics, advertising, profiling, or account creation. We do not run third-party ad SDKs and we do not track your activity across apps or websites.

Information Processed on Your Device

Pianola processes certain data locally on your device so the app can work:

This data is stored locally on your device. Pianola does not upload your MIDI files or playback data to a developer server.

Permissions

Bluetooth

Pianola requests Bluetooth access only to discover and connect to nearby Bluetooth MIDI devices. Bluetooth is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

USB MIDI

Pianola supports wired USB MIDI connections, including USB-to-MIDI adapters and direct USB OTG-compatible devices. USB connectivity is used only for MIDI communication with attached devices.

File Access

Pianola accesses only files you explicitly choose. Access is managed through Apple file-picker permissions.

Data Sharing

Pianola does not sell or share personal data with data brokers or ad networks. Any data handling by Apple (such as App Store or iCloud platform services) is governed by Apple's own terms and policies.

Children's Privacy

Pianola does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected on this page and the effective date will be updated.
